Billie Jean King and Aasif Mandvi to Headline Demandbase’s 5th Annual ABM Innovation Summit

Demandbase, a leader in account-based marketing (ABM), recently announced sports icon and social justice pioneer, Billie Jean King, and actor, writer and producer, Aasif Mandvi, as the headliners of its 2018 ABM Innovation Summit. This year’s event will take place April 11-12, at Pier 27 in San Francisco, California.

Since its launch five years ago, the ABM Innovation Summit has become the premiere conference for B2B marketers who are looking to learn the “how” of account-based marketing from real marketers who are using it every day.

With the explosion of ABM in the last few years, Demandbase CEO Chris Golec says the category has transformed B2B marketing. “Challenging the status quo and getting real-world results are key themes of our conference,” Golec stated. “We’re excited to have the legendary Billie Jean King, and the comedic storyteller, Aasif Mandvi headline our conference to share their inspiring experiences, along with presentations by more than 20 real-life ABM thought leaders and practitioners.”

Over 1,000 B2B marketers and industry influencers will come together at the conference for two days of educational sessions, inspiring keynotes, ABM certification courses and networking opportunities.

Along with Billie Jean King and Aasif Mandvi, the 2018 ABM Innovation Summit will also feature industry experts from companies such as LinkedIn, Cloudera, Merkle, Deloitte, Forrester, XL Catlin, Blackline, SAVO Group and ServiceMax by GE.

Additionally, conference attendees will have the opportunity to become Certified Account-Based Marketing Strategists through Demandbase’s ABM certification program. Demandbase currently offers the “Foundations” and “Advanced” certification courses and will launch the “Expert” certification at this year’s ABM Innovation Summit. “Advanced” and “Expert” certification courses will be offered onsite at the conference, while the “Foundations” course will be available online. Since launching the ABM Certification program two years ago, more than 1,500 B2B marketers have become certified through Demandbase.

About Billie Jean King:
Named one of the “100 Most Important Americans of the 20th Century” by LIFE magazine and a 2009 recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, Billie Jean King is one of the greatest female tennis players of all time and a long-time champion for social justice and equality. In 1973, King produced one of the greatest moments in sports history when she defeated Bobby Riggs in the famous match dubbed “The Battle of the Sexes.” It still remains one of the most viewed sports events of all time, and the story is now a major motion picture. King is the founder of the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative, the Women’s Sports Foundation and the Women’s Tennis Association.

Aasif Mandvi is a Peabody award-winning actor, writer, creator, comedian, author and producer. He is a former correspondent for Emmy-winning “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and author of No Man’s Land. Mandvi’s film credits include Drunk Parents, Mother’s Day, Million Dollar Arm, The Internship, Movie 43, The Dictator, Dark Horse, Ruby Sparks, Gods Behaving Badly, Premium Rush, The Last Airbender, The Mystic Masseur, Analyze This, Spider-Man 2, and many others. Mandvi is currently developing a series titled Fatwa for Showtime, which he will create and also star.
